Studio Apparatus Classes
The Pilates apparatus combines core training with strength training, creating a streamlined physique. The springs used in the machines provide full-body resistance work, challenging the muscles of your legs, arms, hips, shoulders and inner thighs to become longer and more toned. At The Pilates Room everyone works according to a programme individually designed to suit their own body.

Pilates for Pregnancy
Many women find Pilates to be the best exercise to do during and after their pregnancy. This is because Pilates focuses on creating deep core strength to provide supported movement of your  spine and joints. If your abdominals, back, and pelvic floor muscles are flexible and strong, they will support better posture and a more comfortable pregnancy and delivery. Pilates is also excellent for helping new mums get their figures back after the birth of baby! The Pilates apparatus at The Pilates Room provides the perfect support for a pregnant body. Our comprehensively trained  teachers are able to modify any or all of the work to accommodate your needs as your body and abilities change. The pregnancy classes are offered on a private or semi-private basis through our Studio Apparatus Classes.

Matwork Classes
Pilates is an integrated system that combines both matwork and equipment exercises. Our group mat classes provide you a safe, effective and energising programme of body conditioning, offering an opportunity to develop your awareness and concentration. You will also enjoy enhanced breathing, balance and flexibility. Unless specifically stated, mat classes are not suitable for injury rehabilitation.

Remedial Pilates
Because Pilates exercises are so controlled they are very safe for those clients recovering from an injury or an accident. In particular, the Pilates apparatus work assists the body to regain functional movement capability after injury. Many health professionals recommend Pilates to aid recovery and as a way of re-educating and re-aligning the body to prevent imbalances. The Therapeutic classes are offered on a private basis through our Studio Apparatus Classes.

Powerhouse Workouts
Dynamic flowing, high energy group classes that will tone and strengthen every muscle in your body. These classes will rotate weekly between the four main Pilates exercise machines: Reformer, Cadillac, Mat and Wunda Chair.

Master Classes
The Pilates Room provides clinics with a Master teacher to gain a deeper understanding of the Pilates Method. By looking at many different aspects of the work the teacher or advanced student is challenged to take their fitness and understanding to another level.

Guidelines:
For clients new to our studios the Pilates Teaser is a pre-requisite to ensure the safest and most effective workouts.
For best results, we recommend two or more sessions per week. In doubt, please consult your Doctor before starting any exercise regime.
