What Makes our Training Programme Unique?
The Pilates Room provides a unique
teacher training programme, teaching the Classical and modified
approaches to Pilates in a thorough, intensive format. The Classical
approach is the original method of teaching Pilates which, over the
decades, has been proven to achieve unparalleled results for
clients. We offer a solid training that focuses on the theory and
principals behind the Pilates Method as well as a basic
understanding of anatomy from a Pilates perspective. Students will
learn how to teach exercises on the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair
and small apparatus and how it all works together as ''The
Integrated System''.
In addition to attending the four Seminar weekends, students are
supported through the year long course by a mentor. Each week they
are given individual and group training sessions on the mat and all
apparatus. As a group we go through reading material together and
practice teaching clinics.
The apprenticeship style of our course allows students to really
focus on learning how to teach the Pilates repertoire versus simply
learning the exercises. This results in a deep understanding of the
Pilates Method and the ability to provide quality instruction
regardless of class size, type or physical ability of the student(s).
You can expect to be mentally, physically and emotionally challenged
and by the end of this course to have the Pilates Method integrated
into your body. This allows for an understanding of how to teach the
work in a deep and effective manner producing quicker results for
your clients; both in individual and group classes.
Both employment opportunities and continuing education are available
to our graduates.
The Qualification
The Pilates Room certification is awarded on successful completion
of:
> All the Seminar Series.
> Complete all hours required on the apprenticeship.
> Receive a passing score of 85% or higher on all written and
practical exams.
Our certification is recognized worldwide. Potential employers
understand the importance of a comprehensive Pilates training when
recruiting Pilates teachers. Pilates Room certified teachers are
among the best trained in the world.
We are not associated with any awarding body. However, it is
possible to gain REPs accreditation at Level 3 and achieve an
industry qualification that is the equivalent to 2 A-Levels. This is
in addition to your Pilates Room certification. For more information
