Module
1 / MARCH 5th, 6th and
7th, 2010
or NOVEMBER 5th, 6th and 7th, 2010
This weekend starts with the covering the basic history of Pilates as well
as going in depth into Return to Life and the foundations of the work. We
then progress into the initial presentation of mat and reformer work for
clients new to Pilates. Following this we add beginner work on the Cadillac,
and High and Low Chairs, also considering alternative exercises that are
great to use at the start or end of each session and can be given for
homework. This is a great way to review the purpose of each exercise, and
how to go deeper into the body using the fundamental work which is the
foundation of the intermediate/advanced work.

Mat, Reformer, Cadillac and High/Low Chairs. At this time we introduce some
work on the Spine Corrector. This module includes looking at how to create a
session for a client and how to see when they are ready to progress from
beginner to intermediate work. Some time will be taken to discuss the
modification of exercises for injury as well as practising identifying the
main bony landmarks of the body.
